looked dull and then the wind began to howl, blowing sparse, dry snowflakes on whirling currents. There isn't much snowfall but what there is, is drifting around and it's a miserable day out. I hate to complain when the Maritimes and Central Canada have had a brutal winter but spring has teased us for three weeks. Little rills carried melt water, the snow had compacted into dirty, icy patches and the brown grass and mud had appeared. We're back to pre-spring. Again, I shouldn't whine; the winter has been relatively easy. I think it's the Canadian complaint. No matter how you try to embrace the climate and love winter, it just hangs on too long.
The pictures shows I'm always in denial. I know winter's coming but I procrastinate until my flower containers are snow covered. I should learn.
I've been married a long time and often write about everyday events.
