Spring is slowly coming. Scruff has had his spring trim. I am ashamed to say that he had some mats and tangles. His hair is fine and grows long. Luckily he's small and pretty much a lover rather than a fighter. He lays on my lap and let me cut away. It's a challenge because his the fine fur is hard to cut straight.
Both of my dogs are ready for the warmer weather. They had baths last night and this morning on their walk pretty much started the process of getting back to a more normal dog smell. There is mud and muck and there are gophers. Dogs don't like smelling pretty.
On the dog stroll this morning, a Rottie was loose. Scruff (who weighs under 10 pounds) ran right over to make friends. Thank goodness, the Rottie was friendly. Patch (my timid Jack Russell and I don't that is an oxymoron) even walked over and exchanged sniffs. Spring must be around the corner.
I've been married a long time and often write about everyday events.
